OLYMPICS AT GOLDSTOCK

Start practicing with your golden buddy so you will be in tip top performance ability for the Olympics.

The events are:

Best diver - dog that jumps the furthest into the lake off the dock after whatever item you choose to throw. Or they can jump without incentive. We don't care. Just make it fast and far cause it's usually freezing in the lake in the morning!

Fastest swimmer - this is run in heats. A ball is thrown in the water and the dogs are released. The first dog to get to the ball AND bring it all the way back wins the heat. The semi finalists then compete against teach other for the coveted title.

Man's Best Friend - practice makes perfect guys! Plop yourself down in an armchair and teach your dog to fetch things for you! In this event, the fastest dog to bring back a beer can, a slipper and a newspaper wins. We'll supply the paper and beer cans. You have to provide the slipper.

One Righteous Retriever - This is a two person one dog event. One person holds the dog while the other person walks about 50 feet away, with the object L'Amour. The dogs are released and the fastest one to bring back it's item wins. Since this is done in heats, you have to be sure you dog really loves it's item and the person must be prepared to fend off other dogs!

The Sassy Walk - Diva Deb says the dog with the sassiest butt wiggle and saucy tail wag wins!

Let me explain about style points. Style points are green and have pictures of presidents on them. Judges can be influenced by style points. Judges also give credit to originality and creativity. So if your dog's time is the same as someone elses and you have more style points or creativity who do you think is going to win?

Let the games and fun begin! Be prepared to get wet and have fun. Maybe laugh so hard you wet yourself! Oops, I didn't say that, did I?
